Christina Sekertzi received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Dental School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2017. She advanced her education by obtaining a MSc in Healthcare Administration from the University of Macedonia, focusing on public health policy and oral health literacy. Motivated by a keen interest in evidence-based practices and research excellence, she enrolled in the postgraduate program “Medical Research Methodology” at the Medical School, AUTH, graduating with honours in 2021.
Concurrently with her academic endeavours, Ms Sekertzi has practiced in private settings and volunteered for two years as an associate dentist and orthodontic assistant at the Dental Department of the 424 Military Hospital of Thessaloniki. This role afforded her invaluable practical experience and reinforced her dedication to specializing in Orthodontics. Presently, she is a second-year Orthodontic Resident at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Ms Sekertzi has actively participated in scientific research, contributing to several research teams and presenting her findings through poster presentations at various dental and orthodontic congresses. Her scholarly interests are diverse, encompassing the application of new technologies in Orthodontics, multidisciplinary collaboration, public health policy, and evidence-based Orthodontics. She is a member of the European Orthodontic Society, the Greek Orthodontic Society, and the Orthodontic Society of Northern Greece. Furthermore, as the newly elected Secretary of the European Postgraduate Student Orthodontic Society (EPSOS), she is committed to leveraging her role to foster a strong community of future orthodontists and promote educational and collaborative opportunities among postgraduate students across Europe.
