Lecture: Impacted Canines: Overcoming the challenge with invisible treatment
Impacted canines have always been a challenge to treat- especially with aligners, since we have to get creative with anchorage for pulling them in place. When treating such cases with aligners, the main difficulties are vertical traction, continuous forces
and efficient engagement of the aligners.
During this session, we will discuss how to prevent impaction by starting orthodontic treatment at an early stage, what are the diagnostic characteristics and how to map a canine impaction. Further on, Planning the Staging and hierarchy of movements with aligners
will be presented along with the use of auxiliaries to overcome their limitations.
